Dear Friends of Education,
The Rock Hill School District Foundation cordially invites you to partner with us by investing in our Hi-Tech Gala, a fundraising event featuring an evening of great food, fellowship, and enterprise in a 21st Century digital innovative atmosphere.
The Hi-Tech Gala will be held on Tuesday, March 5th at 7:00 pm at the Richardson Ballroom, DiGiorgio Center on the campus of Winthrop University. All proceeds benefit the iRock Initiative and Teacher Grants Funds.
Keynote speaker, Dr. Mark Edwards, Superintendent of Mooresville County Schools and pioneer of 1 to 1 computing, will share its tremendous benefits with our patrons. Announced by AASA as one of four finalists for National Superintendent of the Year, Dr. Edwards is nationally known for inspiring students to develop a new love for learning with mobile technology. Dr. Edwards has been recognized by eSchool News Magazine as a Tech Savvy Superintendent. He is the author of Every Child, Every Day: A Digital Conversion Model for Student Achievement.
The Hi-Tech Gala is sure to be an evening of inspiration in 21st Century digital innovation. You will not want to miss this event!
The purpose of the Education Foundation (a 501 c 3 non-profit organization) is to garner support for innovative programs such as the iRock Initiative that help improve our students’ education. Last year, we were able to raise over $200,000 which is now being used to fund Teacher Grants, Back the Pack, and other district wide educational initiatives. Your investment will allow us to continue to fund unique learning experiences and opportunities for students.
We have provided an outline of the opportunities to partner with us by sponsoring this all new, spectacular year’s Hi-Tech Gala event. Please take a moment to review. Also, please remember that you can support the Hi-Tech Gala event even if you are unable to attend. By your indication, we will award seats to teachers who may otherwise not be able to attend.
